Jeremey’s 2015 Honda Civic Si on D2 Lowering Springs

Our customer, Jeremy, came to us looking to lower his 2015 Honda Civic Si. He decided on the 2015 Civic Si D2 Racing Lowering Springs to lower his car 2.0" in the front and 2.0" in the rear. With their lifetime warranty, progressive spring rate, and great price, he was excited to get them on the car!

Above is the car after the springs have been installed. We think it's a perfect drop and makes the car look much better by cleaning up the stock wheel gap.

The car looks great Jeremy, glad you like it!

2015 Honda Civic Type R Turbo! Yep! Factory Honda Turbo!

Oooh yeah! Anyone out there excited for a factory turbo Honda Civic Type-R? Finally! Honda revealed the 2015 Honda Civic Type-R at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, and the part that caught our eye was the 2.0 VTEC Turbo engine making about 280 horsepower stock. Honda had a factory 4 cylinder turbo for a while with the Acura RDX, but it never made it's way into the sport compact market until now.

The 2015 Civic Type-R is going to have a more aggressive looking body kit with day time running lights. 20 inch wheels and Brembo brakes with cross drilled and slotted rotors will round out the list. With a quad tip exhaust, the 2015 Civic Type-R is one of the best looking yet.

Unfortunately, the Civic Type-R will likely not make it to the United States, but you never know!

2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe Debut at SEMA Las Vegas

If you're going to the always awesome SEMA show in Las Vegas this year, you'll be one of the first to see the 2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe. The 2014 Si is redesigned a bit from the 2012 and 2013 model and has some minor touches to the exterior that I think is pretty tasteful and looks nice.

We expect the 2014 to have the same 2.4L K Series motor, but will likely have some more horsepower as Honda has been giving hints that there's going to be more performance coming from under the hood.

We can see the new Civic coupe has a redesigned spoiler, new rear lower diffuser, modified rear bumper and slightly different taillights.

We're excited to see the full reveal at SEMA 2013!

Paul’s 2008 Honda Civic Mugen Si Fiji Blue w/ Bolt Ons

Paul, a die hard Honda enthusiast, and a good customer, recently had some professional pictures taken of his 2008 Civic Si Mugen in Fiji Blue. We believe Paul's car is one of the best examples of how keeping a car clean with the right mods makes all of the difference.

Paul's Mugen Si has the following modifications:

    DNA motoring race header
    Skunk2 Intake Manifold
    Hondata Flash Pro
    330cc Fuel Injectors
TSX throttle body with P2R conversion
    Injen Cold Air Intake
    Tsudo N1 Cat Back Exhaust
XTD Clutch Stage 3 and XTD 10 lb flywheel
    Drag wheels 18x7.5
    225/45/18 Goodyear Eagle Tires
Stock Mugens wheels with toyo race slicks for track day

In the engine shot above, you can see the Injen Cold Air Intake, Skunk2 Intake Manifold, and the stock Acura TSX throttle body with the P2R conversion. Very clean and functional install.

Above, Paul kept his interior relatively stock. While Paul does have plans in the future, for now it's all about being functional.

We love Paul's 2008 Civic Si Mugen and we are excited for what the future holds. Paul is planning on his next modifications and we'll keep you updated on what route he takes.

5 of the Fastest “Streetable” Honda’s on the Planet

Honda's for a long time have been the punchline to many jokes by quarter mile fans. Well those days are long gone. It seems like it was only yesterday when I used to wait eagerly by the mailbox to grab the newest edition of Turbo Magazine to find out who was the fastest Honda.

I remember when David Shih was the first Honda to run 10's. Tony Fuchs and Stephan Papadakis were on his heels and soon there after the Bergenholtz brothers were bringing the heat. This btw, was way back 1998.

Fast forward to 2012, where we have a renaissance going on in front wheel drive drag racing. Hopefully this list will be accurate for at least 4-5 months as winter approaches the east coast. It's funny how things change since the beginning of Honda FWD drag racing. The west coast use to dominate the east coast, but the tides have changed the past 7 or so years. Let's take a look at the 5 fastest "Streetable" i.e non wheelie bar FWD Honda's on the planet.

1. Chris Miller 8.008@188.62 -

Love him or hate him - well most hate him - you have to give Chris Miller props he has been the undisputed King of Outlaw FWD for the past couple of years. His brash Tri-State attitude get’s the interwebs buzzing. Miller as he is affectionately known is not afraid to call out fellow racers. Just recently he called out West coast sport compact legend Bisi Ezerioha for a match race. Regardless of your opinion on Miller’s mouth you can’t take away the results that this Civic continues to deliver. This car will be in the 7’s soon!

2. James Kempf 8.088@ 190.48mph - Speedfactory

The Speedfactory team hailing from Washington State has built an amazingly fast and consistent contender to this coveted title. James clicked off a blistering 8.088 three weeks ago at MIR’s WCF. 7’s are just around the corner for this dedicated west coast team.

3. Tony Palo - 8.381@181.25mph - T1 Race Development

Tony aka T1 has been in the game for quite awhile and has been a pioneer in developing the SFWD and Outlaw Honda classes. This Integra is flawless in and out. Let’s see if Tony is up for the challenge to take on Miller again.

4. Reid Lunde - 8.47@176mph - Kaizenspeed

Reid came on the scene early in 2011 and pushed fellow north-westerner Speedfactory in events out west the last two years. This EK is impeccably clean, fast and consistent.

5. Jonathan Reynolds - 8.628@178.40mph - Prayoonto Racing

Jonathan is one of the most lethal drivers in the sport and is consistently one of the best at "treeing" opponents. Jonathan has driven the Prayoonto Racing All Motor Pro Car into the 8’s.
