2014 Mercedes E63 AMG Sedan and Wagon

Step aside BMW M5, the 2014 E63 AMG from Mercedes is making a stance! Check out these numbers: 5.5L V8, Twin Turbo, 1.0 bar of boost (about 15 psi), 550 horsepower and 531 torque. Opt for the S model and you get 4MATIC all wheel drive, a bump to 577 horsepower and a pavement pounding 590 torque. Now we’re talkin’!

S-Model does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds while the Wagon takes 3.7 seconds. Got a Corvette? Watch out for that Wagon in the lane next to you! Got an M5? Don’t piss off this E63!

The 2014 E63 includes the new front grill that every Mercedes is getting and I’m still trying to get used to the look of these bigger headlights and bigger grill, but it is growing on me. Other than that, it looks pretty similar to the 2013.

The interior remains uniquely Mercedes which is classy yet busy. Most of the attention though isn’t focused on the interior on the E63 AMG, though it does carry over much of what makes this car so great – one of the most comfortable and supportive interiors available. Quality materials, carbon fiber accent, generous amounts of leather make you enjoy a civilized ride until you decide to drop the hammer and unleash the almost 600 torque at the wheels.

Since this car is twin turbo, we expect modifications and performance upgrade to be plenty. Everything from a simple and inexpensive air filter to a boost controller can give the car 20-30 more horsepower and torque from just a few simple upgrades. We expect the aftermarket to also release an exhaust system that will bring out the incredible sound of the twin turbo engine.
